Minffordd Hostel is the Ffestiniog Railway's premier hostel. Built using a mixture of paid and volunteer labour between 1992 and 1998 it provides accomodation for up to 46 people in a mixture of 2 and 4 bed rooms.

The central area of the hostel contains a large lounge and TV room, a library (quiet room) and a laundry room. The three wings of the hostel contain the six accomodation modules. A typical module contains a kitchen and dining area, two shower rooms, two bedrooms with two beds and one bedroom with 4 beds. The two bed rooms also contain a washbasin.
