Ever since the formation of the Ffestiniog Railway Society and
subsequent re-opening of the Ffestiniog Railway, the supply of
labour, donations and gifts from the Society and its members has
been essential to the survival of the Railway. To try to improve
the supply of gifts, plus a few very specific volunteering items,
a list has been compiled of items and help that the Railway would
currently find very useful.
Whilst it is hoped that these would be donated, the Company might
be prepared to pay, reasonably, for some of them.
If there is a possibility of your being able to supply, or arrange
the supply, of anything major would you please discuss it first
with the contact named.
This on-line list will give the most up-to-date information available.

--- 23rd April 2009 - We are looking for around 60 metres of Armco barrier or similar, this is the corrugated metal barrier seen on Motorways and on main roads to prevent vehicles leaving the carriageway; this is needed for a Kids Training Week project in Minffordd. Suggested sources are Council highways depots or scrap yards, we need the horizontal barrier rail, the vertical posts we can make. Small or large quantities would be appreciated, at reasonable cost, we can collect. Secondly, we are looking for a 2 – 3 tonne gross weight tandem axle tipping trailer, Ifor Williams type or similar in reasonable condition at a reasonable cost for the Outdoor Engineering departments, ( B+E, P.W. and S&T ).
