Ffestiniog Railway Wants List

Ever since the formation of the Ffestiniog Railway Society and subsequent re-opening of the Ffestiniog Railway, the supply of labour, donations and gifts from the Society and its members has been essential to the survival of the Railway. To try to improve the supply of gifts, plus a few very specific volunteering items, a list has been compiled of items and help that the Railway would currently find very useful.
Whilst it is hoped that these would be donated, the Company might be prepared to pay, reasonably, for some of them.
If there is a possibility of your being able to supply, or arrange the supply, of anything major would you please discuss it first with the contact named.

This on-line list will give the most up-to-date information available.

If you wish to donate an item that is on the list click of the name to send an email to the person requesting the item, or follow any other instructions that are given.

If you wish an item added to the list please email wantslist@festrail.co.uk giving:-

(a) What you want (the more detail the better);
(b) Who a potential donor should contact;
(c) any other relevant information.

RhE Team Wylfa --- 21 September 2006 - Clive Briscoe - clive.briscoe@magnox.co.uk I'm at it again.... Team Wylfa needs..... This time some electrical bits please:- 2-off (Min) 6A capacity, wall mounted 3-ph lockable isolators. From information received, 16A seems to be the minimum in most manufacturers' catalogues. That's no problem - the pillar drill and small lathe they're intended for nominally draw only 2-3A max so 16A is way over the top but equally, very acceptable. As we've limited capacity in the clip shed workshop distribution board, a 3-ph changeover switch. 6A min but again, probably 16A is the lowest capacity available. This willl enable us to run either the small Boxford lathe or the pillar drill from the same feed. From past experience, I'm hoping for another successful appeal....
